Community Volunteer Corps Honors Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano and Staff

March 2, 2016 by Press Release

Community-Volunteer-Corps-LogoThe Community Volunteer Corps recently honored Tax Collector Mike Fasano and his staff with recognitions of gratitude for support of the Corps’ efforts to serve the local community. Community Volunteer Corps President Dan Dede and members of the Corps’ Board of Directors thanked and recognized Mike Fasano and tax collector office staff members “for their outstanding support in helping homeless children in Pasco County succeed by staying in school and breaking the cycle of homelessness.” During 2015 a successful fundraising campaign through the tax collector’s office raised over $6,900 to help the Corps accomplish its mission.

The Community Volunteer Corps presented awards to Tax Collector Mike Fasano, Office Managers Clare Casey (New Port Richey), Sandy Golberg (Gulf Harbors), Tammy Dziedzic (Land O’ Lakes), Amy Polk (Wesley Chapel), Michelle Vancuren (Dade City) and Greg Giordano, Director of Customer Relations for their support of the Corps’ efforts to assist homeless children in Pasco County. The awards were accepted on behalf of all members of the tax collector’s office.

“It was an honor for our entire staff to work with Dan Dede and his leadership team at the Community Volunteer Corps,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “These dedicated volunteers have spent many years collecting funds, clothing and personal hygiene items for homeless children of Pasco County. The response from the community during our promotional campaign was wonderful. It was humbling to know that each and every dollar raised would be given to children and families who struggle daily to find shelter, food and the basic necessities that most people take for granted.”
