SARASOTA, FLORIDA – Multiple pieces from the collection of cosmetics icon Helena Rubinstein will be sold at auction.
Helena Rubinstein (1872-1965) was a cosmetics entrepreneur at a time when women could not even obtain bank loans. A lover of fine arts, she founded the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion of Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv. Identifiable pieces from her collection include a chandelier, Venetian painting mirror and an armoire with her initials.
