SEMINOLE, FL – (February 18, 2016) – This will be the Kiwanis Club of Seminole Breakfast’s 35th year for their annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, kicking off the City of Seminole’s 48th annual POW WOW Festival. The fundraiser will take place on Saturday, March 5, in the auditorium at the Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 113th Street North, Seminole from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Since the group started the pancake tradition more than 32,000 pancakes have been served! Tickets for the breakfast are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children five to 10 years old. Children four and under eat for free. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any Kiwanis Breakfast Club member or at the door on the day of the event.
Breakfast will include all the delicious pancakes you can eat in two different flavors, a choice of toppings, sausage and beverage (orange juice, coffee, or milk). Guests will once again have the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment performed on stage while they dine. Free books for children of all ages will be distributed.
New this year will be a silent auction, which will include many gift certificates/cards donated by sponsors.
Parking for the event is free and available at the Recreation Center and the adjacent Seminole library. A free golf cart shuttle service to the main entrance will be provided.
One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from this event will be used to help support the Kiwanis Breakfast Club’s many community service programs including: Special Olympics, Adopt-A-School partnerships and Bring Up Grades sponsor, Family Fun Fishing Days, K-Kids Clubs, feeding the homeless, “Reading is Fun-damental” and “Just One Book.”
