Diane W. Jones, APR, MPA, has joined B2 Communications as an Account Manager, bringing more than 20 years of public relations, public engagement and marketing experience to the St. Petersburg-based firm.
Prior to joining B2, Jones was the president of her own firm, DJ Public Relations, for eight years. DJ Public Relations worked with such clients as the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority, Pasco County Utilities Department, Tampa Bay Water, Visit Citrus, and Independent Financial Services.
Before starting her firm, Jones was the Public Communications Manager for Pasco County for four years and worked at AAA Auto Club South in Tampa for eight years, where she served as the Director of Public and Government Relations.

Jones is very active in the public relations industry, both locally and nationally, and serves on the national Universal Accreditation Board (UAB), which oversees the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). She is a 20-year member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Tampa Bay Chapter, and served as the chapter president in 2002. She also is a past chair of PRSA’s Sunshine District, which represents seven PRSA chapters serving nearly 1,000 members in Florida.
She received her Master’s degree in Public Administration and her Bachelor’s of Arts in Mass Communications, Public Relations concentration, both from University of South Florida. She also is accredited in public relations from PRSA.
