Tampa, Florida, February 16, 2016 – Stacey J. Robinson, M.D is nominated as a finalist for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year category at the 2016 Business Excellence Forum Awards scheduled to take place February 21st-23rd in Orlando, FL. Founded in 2011 in the U.S., the Business Excellence Awards honors the achievements and accomplishments of individuals who are selected as the top performers in their categories. More than 2,000 professionals, business leaders, and entrepreneurs in five countries attend the Business Excellence Forums and Awards each year. Dr. Robinson, an ActionCOACH Tampa Bay client, was nominated by her coach Barb Kyes.
Seeing the changes in the way medicine is offered to patients in the last decade, Dr. Robinson has embraced the field of Concierge Medicine. It is now the springboard in which she has built a thriving office, as well as a way to teach new doctors how to best offer their patients the kind of care they expect.
Dr. Robinson’s goal is not simply to give her own patients what they need, but to also teach other doctors the importance of becoming the leader in their practice and taking charge of the way medical care is handled by their staff. “My goal is to inspire other physicians to step out of the box and do the same,” she explains. “Rather than keep what I have learned to myself, I’ve personally devoted my own time to consult and advise medical students and physicians on what I’ve learned to help them get there a little bit faster and easier than the path I travelled.”
This year, Dr. Robinson hopes to take home the award, not just for herself and her staff, but for all of the young girls who dream of becoming more than what society expects. “I want to inspire women to become successful professionals and entrepreneurs,” she says. “Women are commonly thought of as nurses, not doctors. Women grow up thinking they will only become administrative assistants, not leaders and not business owners. I have seen my success inspire other women, who are physicians or want to be leaders in healthcare, take the next step towards realizing their dreams.”
