BRADENTON, FL (February 10, 2016) –Jorge Gomez has spent the entire 17 years of his life fighting near Pride Park in Bradenton. But Jorge’s fighting has been to stay out of gangs. He credits his success in staying out of that environment and succeeding in school—he plans to head to college—to his amazing parents and the Manatee YMCA.
Jorge will be just one of the inspirational speakers at the Manatee YMCA annual Campaign Kickoff Breakfast on February 11 from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at Renaissance on 9th. The speakers come from all areas of Manatee County, including Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, and West Bradenton, and will tell stories about how their lives have been changed by the Manatee YMCA. More than 200 community leaders are expected to attend the event.
