SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – Goodwill Manasota’s Tech Connection, the refurbished computer program housed at its Ranch Lake retail store, has expanded to offer computer services and repairs. Services include virus removal, data recovery, installations, repairs and upgrades.
“This expansion will allow us to provide additional benefit for our community by increasing access to digital literacy and technology needs,” said Bob Rosinsky, Goodwill Manasota’s president and CEO. “Goodwill Manasota is proud to offer programs and services needed by the community. The new Tech Connection services enhance our ability to make technology more readily available and affordable, and provide the tools community members need to achieve success.”
The approximate price for various services are: $20 for diagnostic testing or data backup and transfer; $50 for virus removal, operating system installations and upgrades, or data recovery; and $1 per disc for Blu-ray, DVD, CD and game disc repair. Additional repairs start at $40 per hour. The Tech Connection center is located at 8750 East State Road 70 in Bradenton, and is the only store that will be offering these services.
“Offering computer services has been on the radar for quite some time – we have now built a team and menu of options that we feel will help us continue to provide world-class customer service and bring in an even wider variety of customers and donors,” said Donn Githens, Goodwill Manasota’s vice president of operations. “This is an accomplishment we are very proud of – community members who frequent the Tech Connection at the Ranch Lake store will now be able to add computer services and repairs to their to-do list while shopping in our store.”
