Tampa, Fla. – The University Area Community Development Corporation (UACDC) offers free exercise classes for community residents in its gym at the University Area CDC Community Center.
The P90X class is offered every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to noon with a live instructor. Those who attend regularly refer to themselves as the “Bod Squad.” Plans are underway to add a free yoga class as well.
Located at 14013 North 22nd Street in Tampa, 33613, the University Area CDC Community Center is home to much more than the gym. A free computer lab with resume assistance, a Head Start preschool program, classes for children and adults, performance spaces, basketball courts, a brand new pavilion and more are included in the community center.
UACDC offers support for thousands of Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance. Its primary mission is the redevelopment and sustainability of the at-risk areas surrounding University of South Florida’s Tampa campus.
