Tyler Killette and Keeley Sheehan bring experience in journalism and public relations
St. Petersburg-based public relations agency B2 Communications has added two new account coordinators, Tyler Killette and Keeley Sheehan, to the team. Both Killette and Sheehan bring a mix of experience in journalism, public relations and marketing.
As account coordinators, Killette and Sheehan will assist account teams in implementing strategic communications plans, including media relations, writing and social media support.
Prior to joining B2, Killette was the marketing coordinator for St. Petersburg-based law firm Englander Fischer, where she managed the firm’s marketing, public relations, advertising, social media, and event planning. She has held positions as a news reporter for the Ledger Media Group and as a content creator for Symphoni Media, a digital media agency.
Sheehan was most recently the marketing communications specialist for The Florida Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg. In this role, she wrote news releases, direct mail pieces, newsletters, and marketing materials; secured editorial coverage; and maintained the museum’s website and managed its social media accounts. She honed her journalism skills as a staff writer and editorial assistant at the Tampa Bay Times.
“The experience in interviewing and writing that Tyler and Keeley gained as reporters, combined with their public relations and marketing experience, will be valuable as they help our clients with professional communications,” said Missy MacFarlane, APR, principal of B2 Communications.
Killette graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and media studies.
Sheehan received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and English, with a certificate in journalism, from State University of New York at Buffalo, and her master’s degree in journalism and media studies from University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
Both Killette and Sheehan served as editor-in-chief of University of South Florida St. Petersburg’s student newspaper, The Crow’s Nest, during the course of their collegiate careers.
