BRANDON, Fla. – The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce has selected Cami Gibertini, Senior Vice President, Market Manager of the Brandon office of USAmeriBank, to serve as Chairwoman of the organization for 2016.
Gibertini brings strong ties to the Brandon community to her new role as Chair. She has worked in banking in Brandon for 20 years and has been an active member of the Chamber for 15 years. As Chair, Gibertini will oversee and guide the board, select committee chairs, and promote the Chamber.
Previously, Gibertini served on the Chamber board for three years and was chair of the ambassador team. She has also been active in Leadership Brandon, one of the Chamber’s signature programs. She graduated from the program in 2000, served as co-chair in 2002 and was Alumni President in 2004.
“The Chamber is a great partner to help businesses build relationships with people who live and work in the Greater Brandon area,” Gibertini said. “I am very humbled and excited at this opportunity to lead the Board’s directive this year of ‘You Talk, We Listen, Things Change,’ so we can continue to deliver value to our members and increase Chamber memberships within the Brandon community.”
Gibertini has been with USAmeriBank for more than 7 years when she was brought on to open the bank’s Brandon branch. Following its practice of “building banks around people,” USAmeriBank tapped Gibertini to lead the branch because of her deep ties to the community and the strong relationships she had already formed with local business owners and individuals. This practice proved successful for USAmeriBank. The Brandon branch opened in November 2008, and has consistently been a market leader in deposit growth, loan production and sales and service.
In addition to her involvement with the Brandon Chamber, Gibertini was part of the Leadership Tampa class of 2004 and the Leadership Tampa Bay class of 2015. She is the immediate past president of ECHO (Emergency Care Health Organization) of Brandon, and was the Honorary Mayor of Brandon in 2011.
The new Executive Committee members and Board of Directors will be installed at the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards banquet on January 29, 2016 at The Regent. Gibertini’s term officially begins on February 1, 2016.
