During the month of February Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch will be the charitable organization of the month at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. The Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch focuses on a person’s ability, not their disability. The therapy and learning academy includes therapeutic riding, therapeutic driving utilizing the respected Horse Boy Method and related learning programs. Children with disabilities and veterans with disabilities are the two groups of individuals who receive the most services from Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch.
“Kiddy Up Ranch is a place of hope, healing and respite for our community,” states Tammy Harting, Founder and Executive Director. “We are inspired each day by every student, volunteer and the magic that happens through animal facilitated therapy. We are truly blessed to be part of such a great organization.”
“I was most impressed with Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch from the moment I first learned of it,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “The work they do to help children and veterans with a wide variety of disabilities is absolutely amazing. I wholeheartedly support their efforts to expand services and provide a larger venue for the horses to work in. I encourage anyone who is interested in helping children and members of the veterans’ community to stop by our office and make a donation. All proceeds will go to support the services provided by Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch.”
Funds raised during the month of February will purchase adaptive equipment for children and veterans with disabilities. Additionally, the dollars raised will provide for the medical and daily maintenance needs of the equine therapists. Finally, the funds will also help ensure that any disabled veteran who qualifies can receive services at no cost.
