TAMPA, Fla. – (Jan. 22, 2016) – JJ Roberts, director of TEC Garage, the latest concept to come from Tampa Bay Innovation Center, has been named a finalist for the Lifetime Entrepreneur Award to be presented at That Business Show’s First Awards Dinner on Monday, Jan. 25 at the Centre Club in Tampa.
That Business Show, which airs on radio station 1250 WHNZ, is celebrating its first anniversary on the air with this awards event. The Lifetime Entrepreneur Award is one of 11 awards That Business Show host Jamie Meloni will present, and is based on the nominee’s lifetime accomplishments as an entrepreneur.
“We are so pleased to see JJ recognized for his many entrepreneurial, consulting and coaching achievements,” says Tonya Elmore, CEO of Tampa Bay Innovation Center and creator of TEC Garage. “He has been a major contributor to what TEC Garage and its clients have been able to accomplish.”
Roberts, an author, business coach and technology consultant, directs client services at TEC Garage. Prior to joining TEC Garage, he was Entrepreneur in Residence at Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) at Georgia Institute of Technology, vice president of AccuSentry, Inc. and president/founder of Systronics, Inc. A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Management, he earned a master of science degree in Decision Science at Georgia State University. He has been certified as a business coach.
That Business Show highlights the successes of area entrepreneurs, community and organizational leaders. During the past year, Meloni has interviewed more than 300 business professionals and will be honoring many of his past guests at this event. Anthony Sullivan of Sullivan Productions will be a speaker at the dinner.
