ST. PETERSBURG, FL., Jan. 20, 2016 – KynderMed, a developing women’s health company focusing on saving babies by ending preterm labor, has been selected as one of 50 semi-finalists from cities throughout the US and Canada to present at SUP-X™: The StartUp Expo on February 16.
The two day conference held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale-Broward County Convention Center is a premier annual gathering that brings together more than 1500 startup companies, investors and providers from throughout North America.
“SUP-X™ presents a tremendous platform to present KynderMed’s important value proposition to potential financial and business partners,” said Don Rosenkoetter, President and CEO of KynderMed. “We are honored to have been selected as a semi-finalist.”
1 million babies die each year as a result of preterm labor. 2 million end up with lifelong disabilities like Cerebral Palsy, mental retardation, blindness and deafness. KynderMed’s advanced patented technology is revolutionizing the way we approach solutions for preterm labor. And until now, there have been no safe and effective solutions to end preterm labor. Through advanced patented technology, a therapeutic medical sleep mask called Cerulean Sleep, is undergoing development and human testing for the regulation of melatonin and prevention of contractions. Cerulean Sleep is a simple, non-invasive sleep mask that will safely and effectively prevent the onset of preterm labor labor.
The mask uses a specific blue light spectrum therapy to control the production of the hormone melatonin to suppress contractions. The light gently comes on while the pregnant mother is sleeping and suppresses the contractions preventing preterm labor.
KynderMed is a St. Petersburg based start-up focused on Women’s Health. Its first product will be a medical device that can halt contractions in actively contracting preterm women and also prevent the onset of preterm labor in at-risk women. For more information, please visitwww.KynderMed.com.
