BRADENTON, Fla. – SpecPage Inc., a technology company based in Switzerland, has relocated its North American branch office from Warwick, Rhode Island to West Bradenton.
“SpecPage is an example of a company in the information technology sector that we are targeting for job growth in the Bradenton area,” said Sharon Hillstrom, president and chief executive officer of the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp. (EDC), whose team assisted SpecPage with site selection and applying for a performance-based economic development incentive grant from Manatee County Government. “This growing company provides high-impact jobs. It creates innovative software solutions that are used by global brands, raising awareness of the Bradenton area in the consumer product and food production industries worldwide. The company’s international scope has the potential to open doors to other relationships for recruiting desirable businesses to our community.”
SpecPage (www.specpage.com) develops and markets software solutions for the food manufacturing industry. The company’s clients include global brands such as Kellogg’s, Mondelēz, Nestlé Wagner, and Campbell Soup Co. In addition to its headquarters in Switzerland, SpecPage has branch offices in Chicago, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy and Slovakia.
“The Bradenton area is a good fit for our North American operations,” said Paul Meunier, SpecPage vice president for North America. “We wanted to locate in a growing, yet affordable, area with ample candidates for future hiring. The Bradenton area’s proximity to Sarasota-Bradenton, Tampa and Orlando airports also provides a convenient base for international travel.”
SpecPage occupies 1,100 square feet with options to expand at Wildwood Office Park, 3645 Cortez Rd, Suite 100 in Bradenton. New jobs will be mainly in sales and support, Meunier said. Job openings are posted at www.specpage.com.
The Manatee County Board of Commissioners approved SpecPage performance-based incentives based on adding 15 jobs over the next five years.
“The Manatee County Board of Commissioners is pleased to welcome SpecPage and its high-impact jobs to our community,” said Ed Hunzeker, Manatee County administrator. “By judiciously applying economic development incentives, the county helps to expedite job creation and capital investment by companies like SpecPage.”
