During November, 2015 the charitable organization of the month at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office was the Pasco Fine Arts Council. The Council was created to enrich, engage and inspire the local community to learn more about and support the arts. Additionally, the Council assists in education, business development and marketing.
“We are grateful to Mike Fasano, Greg Giordano, and all the employees of the Pasco County Tax Collectors Office throughout the county for supporting us by providing the opportunity to increase our visibility within the community, as well as increase our income through the donations collected by their staff,” states Bob Langford, Chairman of Pasco Fine Arts Council. “The Pasco Fine Arts Council is dedicated to the enhancement of the arts. Our goal is to provide cultural experiences and fine art instruction to Pasco County residents. A schedule of classes can be found on our website: www.pascoarts.org.”
The Pasco Tax Collector raised over $1177 for the Council by the sale of specialty license plates and direct cash donations made by members of the community. Those funds will directly benefit the provision of arts awareness and education in Pasco County.
“The arts are often an overlooked part of our daily lives,” comments Deputy Tax Collector Billy Poulos. “However, they contribute greatly to our community through education, recreation and the economy. As an organization we were proud to help spotlight the good work the Pasco Fine Arts Council does to encourage and advocate for the arts in the Tampa Bay area. I applaud the Council for the good work they do.”
