WHAT: Ring in the New Year on the waterfront at Channelside Bay Plaza with fireworks and live entertainment from the Glenn Cummings Band and DJ Xplicid. This free event is sponsored by the City of Tampa and The Lion King Musical. Event partners include Budweiser, The Florida Aquarium, Port Tampa Bay and Tampa Attractions Association.
The party will start with the open waterfront at 8 p.m. Only 3,500 wristbands will be distributed for waterfront admission—first come, first serve.
Special Event parking is available in the parking garage or in the open lots between Channelside Bay Plaza and Amalie Arena. Personal items will be inspected upon arrival. No personal fireworks, chairs or coolers will be permitted. No glass is allowed in the waterfront area. While Channelside Bay Plaza is pet friendly, please know that this event will reach capacity and will feature loud noises, laser lights and fireworks.
On Thursday, December 31, New Year’s Eve, the TECO Line Streetcar System will be extending service through 1:30 a.m. (Friday morning). The Streetcar service will be FREE starting 7 p.m. through 1:30 a.m. The TECO Line Streetcar System takes you Downtown Tampa, the Channelside District and to Ybor City.
Channelside Bay Plaza will be the place to welcome in the New Year with waterfront fireworks and free entertainment.
