SARASOTA, FL – Through January 9, 2016, Brilliant Harvest – a solar contractor serving southwest Florida – will donate $1,000 to the Sarasota Audubon Society for every Audubon member who purchases a 10kW solar electric system on their home or business. Brilliant Harvest installed the solar array on the new Sarasota Audubon Nature Center at the Celery Fields; this philanthropic gesture is to celebrate the grand opening of the Nature Center on January 9.
“It is a natural partnership – renewables and conservation,” said Bill Johnson, president of Brilliant Harvest. “Moving to renewable energy and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels will benefit the many species dependent on natural landscapes and a stable climate. The Sarasota Audubon Society’s new Nature Center is a marvelous facility, one that beautifully showcases our diverse bird populations. We’re happy to provide this financial support and hope to raise awareness of the Audubon Society’s work as well.”
“We are thrilled to be named as a beneficiary by Brilliant Harvest. The company was terrific to work with during our solar installation and they showed their enthusiasm for our cause by purchasing commemorative paver bricks for the site,” said Jeanne Dubi, president of the Sarasota Audubon Society. “Every area resident who decides to go solar is doing something positive for the many creatures that dwell here. Every dollar we receive as a result of a Brilliant Harvest installation will be most appreciated and put to good use.”
