SARASOTA COUNTY – Step into a simpler time as the North Port Public Library hosts its annual 1800s Christmas Celebration historical program on Sunday, Dec. 6
This family-fun event will feature the music, crafts, fashion, and personalities of 19th century Florida. Children and adults will both experience the wonder of a truly classic southern holiday.
Entertainment includes music by the North Port Chorale, Troubadour George Aldrich and the Fiddle Crabs String Band, among others. Adults can enjoy waltzing, crafting shell boxes and basket weaving demonstrations, while kids enjoy games, toys and butter making.
This event, which runs from 2:30-5 p.m., is free to attend. Hot cider and cookies will also be served.
The North Port Library is at 13800 Tamiami Trail, North Port.
