ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (Nov. 17, 2015) – Tampa Bay Innovation Center, an innovation and entrepreneurship center for technology businesses, will present its December TECH Talk program on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. at Microsoft Headquarter offices, 5426 Bay Center Dr., Suite 700, Tampa.
The December TECH Talk program, “HR update for 2016: What you don’t know can hurt you!” will be presented by Kelley Rexroad, SPHR, founder and principal consultant of krexconsulting. Rexroad, who has been described as “a big company expert with front porch common sense,” is an HR consultant, executive coach, speaker and author whose clients include Fox Business News, University of South Florida, Hillsborough and Pinellas County government and City of Tampa government; as well as a number of emerging technology companies. She recently received the inaugural award of HR Consultant of the Year for the Tampa Bay area, presented by HR Tampa.
The presentation will include discussion of changes in the Fair Labor Standards Act that affect who receives overtime and why the National Labor Relations Act does not affect unionized employers, and will offer attendees take-aways they can apply immediately in their businesses.
Presented by Tampa Bay Innovation Center, TECH Talk is the area’s premier networking and education event developed specifically to meet the interests of the local technology community. Attendees include new and start-up technology companies, as well as entrepreneurs and those interested in the growth and success of technology innovation and entrepreneurism in the Tampa Bay area.
