TAMPA, Fla. – (Nov. 10, 2015) – Continuing its 15-year annual tradition, Champions for Children, a nationally accredited nonprofit agency whose mission is to build stronger families in the Tampa Bay region, is requesting toys and other donations and collection hosting during November. Champions’ Client Holiday Store offers these parents and caregivers in need of financial assistance an opportunity to choose from a wide variety of gifts for children from birth to 12 years of age.
“Our goal is to make this a memorable holiday season for our clients’ children, aided by the generosity of individuals and businesses within the community,” says Brian McEwen, executive director of Champions for Children. “Last year we served more than 700 families and provided toys to more than 1,200 children; and hope to increase that by 10 percent this year.”
Donations will be accepted through Friday, Dec. 4, 2015. Following are details:
[if !supportLists]· [endif]Businesses and individuals are asked to host a toy collection box in November. There are typically nearly 30 collection sites in Hillsborough County, with the main site at the Champions for Children office at 3108 W. Azeele St., Tampa.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]Champions accepts monetary gifts to supplement the supply of donated toys. Donations can be mailed to the Azeele St. office or online at https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/holidaystore.
