Clearwater, Fl. November 7. 2015- Belle of the Ball served more than 15 women and girls at its “Divas in Defense” event Saturday November 7. All participants learned critical self-defense skills. Grady`s MMA: 16803 US Hwy 19 N, Clearwater, FL conducted the class free of charge, and proceeds went to Belle of the Ball. The class was designed for teens and women, ages 15 to 115, of any athletic ability.
Belle of the Ball released this statement from its Co-Founder and Chief Merchandising Officer Jessica Papa: “Belle of the Ball has always strived to empower women through self-esteem. With this class we hoped to promote self-esteem and empowerment through self-defense. A woman is attacked every 2 ½ minutes in the United States. Are you going away to college? Do you work late? Do you walk alone? Do you wish you knew how to protect yourself? We hope that, through this class the participants are now better prepared and strengthened for any situation. Our wish is for every girl to be empowered. Thanks so much to Grady`s for making this possible. It was very well received, and we hope to repeat in the future!”
