CLEARWATER, FL — Thousands of shoppers packed the launch of the Pierce Street Market in Octiber, and this month they market retuns with food trucks!
“Our opening day was so successful, and we’re really looking forward to the rest of our season as we continue to expand,” says market founder Natalie Nagengast, who also runs a jewelry shop, Coco & Marie.
Pierce Street Market is open every second Saturday by the Clearwater Harbor Marina, under the Memorial Causeway Bridge. In addition, in December there will be a second, expanded holiday makers event on Dec. 19. The market, which runs from October through May, features a curated lineup of food trucks, local artisans and independent businesses selling jewelry, clothes, vintage items, crafts, food products and more.
“Shopping locally is very important to me, which is why we’ve teamed up with LocalShops1 in St. Petersburg. Between our two organizations we’ll have three markets in November and two in December. And at every market you will find new fresh vendors and you can give handmade and locally produced presents to everyone on your christmas list.”
The next Pierce Street markets take place 10 am to 4 pm Nov. 14 and Dec. 12 and 10 am to 3 pm for the special holiday market Dec. 19. Local businesses interested in participating may apply on the market’s website, piercestreetmarket.com. LocalShops1 artist and business members receive reduced vendor fees. LocalShops1’s annual shopping extravaganza, the Shopapalooza Festival, takes place 10 am to sunset Nov 21 and 28 at South Straub Park in downtown St. Petersrburg.
