St. Petersburg, Fla. (Oct. 30, 2015) – Direct from Carnegie Hall, three of the Big Apple’s finest vocalists – Daniel Rodriguez, Andy Cooney and Christopher Macchio – come together for The Magic of Christmas Starring the New York Tenors, at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28.
Daniel Rodriguez is well-known to Americans as New York’s inspirational “singing cop.” After 9/11, he performed at dozens of memorials and public events, in uniform, in a sense becoming the face – and voice – of the City’s strength and resolve.
Dubbed “Irish America’s Favorite Son” by the New York Times, Andy Cooney began his musical career with the legendary Paddy Noonan, and since 1998 has organized and headlined the popular “Cruise of Irish Stars.”
Christopher Macchio, the “Italian tenor” of the group, is a newcomer who studied at the Manhattan School of Music. He has an emotive stage presence that resonates with people of all ages and backgrounds.
The show’s inspirational performances of newly-created and timeless Christmas classics move the audience from the days of Irving Berlin to the millennium. And this “New York Noel” comes with an extra-special gift: Narration and skits from comedic actor Jim Labriola.
