PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA (October 26, 2015)—The Pasco Economic Development Council is pleased to announce that Saint Leo University’s Eric Weekes has joined the Pasco EDC Board of Directors and Dr. Michael Nastanski has joined the Policy Council. Saint Leo University has been a Policy Council-level Investor ($25,000+) in Pasco EDC since 2009.
Dr. Nastanski, a Pasco EDC Board Member during the last fiscal year, is taking a position on the Policy Council previously held by Dr. Arthur Kirk, who retired this year as President of Saint Leo University. Dr. Nastanski was recently appointed Vice President of Academic Affairs for the University. He has an extensive background in business and marketing, including executive positions at Elcotel, Inc., and Shlumerger, as well as management positions at General Dynamics and Massey Ferguson.
Mr. Weekes will assume the position previously held by Dr. Nastanski on the Pasco EDC Board of Directors. Weekes joined Saint Leo University in 2014 following a decade as Senior Executive Vice President of Business and Chief Financial Officer of Embry Riddle University. He also has a lengthy resume of executive finance positions for such companies as Kraft Foods, Illinois Power, and OGE Energy Corporation.
