During the month of November Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano’s five offices will be partnering with the Pasco Fine Arts Council to help raise awareness of the value of art in our state and more importantly our local community. The Pasco Fine Arts Council is the local recipient of funds derived by the sale of the “State of the Arts” license tag.
The Pasco Fine Arts Council organizes exhibitions and cultural events, and offers art instruction (including visual, performing and fine crafts), workshops, demonstrations, adult classes, kid’s classes, art programs for homeschoolers, and an annual summer arts program for children. The Pasco Fine Arts Council helps keep the interest in art alive for current and future generations.
“The Pasco Fine Arts Council appreciates your donations through the Tax Collector’s Offices, especially during the month of November,” states Bob Langford, Chair of the Pasco Fine Arts Council. “Your purchase of the Florida “State of the Arts” license plate and other donations will help to promote the arts and culture in Pasco County.”
“We are proud to team up with the Pasco Fine Arts Council to spotlight Florida’s “State of the Arts” specialty tag,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “The Council is the number one arts advocacy and educational center in Pasco County. The dedicated volunteers and experienced instructors bring art in its many forms to life for people of all ages. The proceeds from the sale of this plate will help ensure that the Pasco Fine Arts Council will be able to continue providing these needed services for many years to come. I encourage anyone who is interested in the arts to consider either purchasing a tag or making a donation to the Pasco Fine Arts Council.”
Individuals who have automobile registration renewals coming due in November may choose to trade in their regular license plate for the “State of the Arts” specialty tag. Customers may also purchase the tag for newly registered vehicles. Additionally, cash donations can be made at any of the five tax collector offices in Pasco County.
