Hearing Loss Effects More Than Your Ears
Hearing loss affects every aspect of life. Recent studies have shown that untreated hearing loss is directly associated with other medical issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety and even dementia. It can also increase your chances of falling and social isolation. Roxann will talk about these common issues related to hearing loss and what measures you can take to ensure that hearing loss doesn’t affect more than your ears!
Originally from Michigan, Roxann is currently the President/CEO of Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center. After receiving a Master’s Degree in Audiology, she continued her career of over 30 years in private practice, university level teaching, and management in the hearing industry. Roxann has received several awards and acknowledgements for her professional contributions.
Join us for this educational presentation, as it is a topic that can apply to all of us. Also, we will be having a potluck at this meeting, so bring your appetite. The public is welcome. More information at www.hla-lakeland.org
