DADE CITY, FLORIDA (October 9, 2015)—Tracy Ingram, CEO and Founder of BioscanR, has been selected to speak at the BioFlorida Annual Conference taking place in Orlando on October 12, 2015. During the conference, Ingram will be taking part in the “Innovation in Healthcare: Digitizing Health” panel.
The panel presentation is part of the BioFlorida Conference’s BioTrends Track focusing on the impact connected systems play in emerging trends in Digital Health. Additional panelists taking part in the presentation include representatives from Florida Hospital and MediVu and will be moderated by GuideWell’s (Florida Blue) Director of Business Innovation.
Ingram joined the SMARTstart Dade City Business Incubator as an onsite member in September for assistance in growing BioscanR. The company helps prevent hospital readmission from acute cardiac care by providing ER quality Vitals wirelessly to Doctors and Care Teams using FDA approved Bluetooth wearable sensors. This is offered as both a replacement to the Holter monitor which is currently reimbursed at $1500 a week, and as an APi that can be integrated into other telemedicine solutions.
“BioscanR bridges the gap between Wearable Fitness trackers and Medical devices, creating an easy to use interface for the patient and providing the quality data a doctor needs to make critical clinical decisions,” said Ingram. “The healthcare industry is historically slow to technological adoption, but healthcare as we know it is changing, and BioscanR is proud to be on the leading edge of some of that change.”
