Belle of the Ball Project is supporting Bright House Networks` program “Bright Ideas STEM from Today’s Youth,” joining their effort to commit to help today’s youth develop into innovative entrepreneurs who can help change the world! In the program, students are encouraged to submit a new idea, powered by STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), that can help make the world a better place! Contestants enter their ideas on the website http://brightideas.brighthouse.com/ By entering the Bright Ideas STEM from Today’s Youth competition, high school students will vie for the opportunity to compete head-to-head on TV, in front of a studio audience in Orlando, Florida, where an expert panel of judges will select one grand prize winner. The BIG winner will have the chance to work with a leading innovation firm – which could help this student’s (or team of students) dream or idea potentially be realized and fulfilled! The program is currently open and available for students ages 14-19. It runs through January 4, 2016.
Bright House Networks issued this statement: ” We know that today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders. They’re also tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, innovators and inventors. They are OUR best hope for a brighter future. They are the ones who can help create new opportunities for our local economies to prosper and flourish. So, to continue to cultivate the changes our local youth can inspire and to encourage their creativity to develop new ideas, Bright House Networks is proud to continue Bright Ideas STEM from Today’s Youth.”
Belle of the Ball released this statement from its Co-Founder and Chief Merchandising Officer Jessica Papa: “It’s a great twist for us to promote it because we will be promoting it with mostly FEMALE students. It’s important to promote STEM programs with young girls. They lose interest in STEM because it’s not considered “cool” to be smart or into math and science. Belle of the Ball will promote the program enthusiastically to its participants and supporter base and encourage youth participation.”
“’So students, get ready to innovate! YOUR Bright Idea can make a difference and possibly change the world!” the Bright House Networks statement continued.
