Saint Leo University is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheri Neshiem as associate vice president of Human Resources, effective October 6.
Neshiem brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources senior management, having worked in the fields of higher education, professional employer organizations, military training and education, health care, and finance. For the past two years, she has been the owner of Tampa Bay Total HR Consulting Services. Prior to that, she spent more than 12 years as the vice president of Human Resources for the Argosy University System. In that role, she led Human Resources operations for the entire university, including the 19 on-ground campuses, Western State College of Law, and the Ventura Group.
“We are confident that Sheri has the knowledge and the experience to guide Saint Leo and its employees,” said Eric Weekes, vice president of Business Affairs. “We are looking forward to her taking the lead in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, organizational development, succession planning, benefits, and employment policy.”
Neshiem earned an associate degree in communications applications technology from the Community College of the Air Force (Montgomery, AL) and a bachelor’s degree in management studies from the University of Maryland University College (Asian Division, Tokyo, Japan). She went on to earn her master’s degree in management, with dual concentrations in health care and human resources management, from Troy University (Troy, AL). She served in the U.S. Air Force for six years and is currently in the U.S. Navy Reserve. She holds Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications.
