Pasco-Hernando State College will host visiting artists, presentations, music and cultural festivals during Art & Culture Week, October 5 through 8. Events will be held on PHSC’s West Campus in New Port Richey, East Campus in Dade City, North Campus in Brooksville, Spring Hill Campus, and Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch in Wesley Chapel.
PHSC’s Art & Culture Week focuses on providing alternative academically derived cultural awareness to enhance overall understanding of the genuine meaning of culture. Activities such as experiential painting, lectures, cultural festivals and other events promote the examination and understanding of the arts and cultural influences on modern society. Students, faculty, staff and the community are invited to attend the activities featuring: community artists, musical demonstrations, and cultural presentations. Additionally, at the North Campus, a sand mandala will be created.
Art & Culture Week events are provided at no charge and are open to the community. A daily agenda of activities, times, and campus locations is available at www.phsc.edu/artculture. Art & Culture Week is sponsored by the PHSC student activities department.
