Tampa, FL (9/29/2015) – Residents looking for educational opportunities are invited to a FREE college fair on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Barksdale Adult Activity Center, 1801 North Lincoln Avenue in Macfarlane Park.
The college fair is sponsored by the Tampa Bay Higher Education Alliance and the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council.
The Tampa Bay Higher Education Alliance (TBHEA) is comprised of regionally accredited colleges and universities working in partnership with each other and with local high schools, business and community organizations to provide a cohesive educational resource for corporations, health care and wellness institutions, and governmental and public agencies.
The Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council is a program of the City of Tampa to allow local teens to learn leadership skills & have the opportunity to put those skills to work.
Over 20 colleges are scheduled to participate offering opportunities for those making career changes, adding new skills or recent high school graduates seeking a college degree. Participants include: Argosy University, DeVry University, Eckerd College, Hillsborough Community College, Keiser University, National Louis University, Nova Southeastern University, Pasco-Hernando State College, Polk State College, Rasmussen College, Saint Leo University, Southeastern University, Springfield College, St. Petersburg College, Troy University, University Alliance, University of Phoenix, University of South Florida, University of St. Francis, University of West Florida, Utica College, Webster University.
