CLEARWATER, FL — Pierce Street Market is a new trendy market by the Clearwater Harbor Marina, under the Memorial Causeway Bridge.
The market, taking place 10 am to 4 pm every second Saturday from October through May, features a curated lineup of food trucks, local artisans and independent businesses selling jewelry, clothes, vintage items, crafts, food products and more.
Pierce Street Market is the brainchild of Natalie Nagengast, who moved to Clearwater in 2012 and runs a jewelry shop, Coco & Marie.
Natalie said she was inspired to start the Pierce Street Market after seeing indie markets and specialty fairs while traveling, from London’s Portobello Market to New York’s Chelsea Market.
“We hope to create an atmosphere of vintage, local artists, specialty foods and food trucks,” she says.
The market has partnered with LocalShops1, Tampa Bay’s leading advocate for local businesses. In addition to collaborative efforts and networking socials throughout the year, LocalShops1 puts on several large-scale annual events, including the Shopapalooza Festival in downtown St. Petersburg, and publishes Live Local! magazine.
“We are excited to help launch Pierce Street Market,” says Ester Venouziou. LocalShops1 founder. “This is an excellent opportunity to showcase the cool artists and businesses that make Tampa Bay such a vibrant place.”
Founding vendors include Franny & Franky, Hip Honey Bee, Coco&Marie, True Vintage Eyewear, Marta Dalloul Art and Voss Botanicals.
Local businesses interested in participating may apply on the market’s website, piercestreetmarket.com. LocalShops1 artist and business members receive reduced vendor fees. For more information email Natalie Nagengast at email@example.com.
