Westshore Yacht Club’s newest model home, a luxury penthouse-inspired condominium residence in the Casa Bahia neighborhood, showcases the boating community’s waterfront lifestyle and sweeping views of Old Tampa Bay. WCI Communities, which created the south Tampa community, recently completed the three-bedroom model now open for viewing.
The model’s transitional interior design, by Beasley & Henley Interior Design of Naples and Winter Park, emphasizes the home’s open great room and its connection to more than 700 square feet of alfresco living spaces, including a large wraparound loggia and a private balcony from the library/media room.
The model offers 2,930 square feet of living space, a dining area, a breakfast nook positioned in a bay window, three full baths and a powder room.
Oak flooring with a river rock finish and light-hued 12-by-24-inch tile create neutral backdrops for a mixture of wood tones softened with textural fabrics, metallic accents and dashes of vibrant color. Light, airy window treatments welcome bay breezes.
“The colors are neutral – with a bit of glamour,” said Stephanie Henley, a principal in the award-winning design firm. “We created an elegant, fresh and comfortable design that complements the beautiful views.”
The model kitchen’s creme typhoon granite countertops were selected to harmonize with the medium-toned wood cabinetry, and the peninsula breakfast bar with double sinks overlooks the great room’s dining area and the nook.
The owner’s suite features a tray ceiling, king-size bed with an upholstered headboard, and sliding glass doors to a secluded area of the main loggia. With an oversized walk-in closet, the suite also boasts a bathroom with a light marble countertop, a doorless walk-in shower, separate tub and private water closet.
The model’s main loggia offers sitting and dining areas and slip-covered chaise lounges for relaxing and enjoying the views.
Casa Bahia’s three-bedroom homes offer 2,930 and 2,950 square feet of interior space. The homes have proven popular with buyers seeking the square footage of a single-family home and the maintenance-free lifestyle of a condominium.
Casa Bahia homes start from the $700,000s.
Casa Bahia is planned for nine four-story buildings offering three residential floors over parking, with two homes per floor. Seven of the neighborhood’s nine buildings will have western bay views; two will face north across the water. WCI introduced Casa Bahia’s luxury penthouse residences last summer and has released for sale the first six midrise buildings overlooking the bay and Westshore Yacht Club’s 149-slip marina.
The marina’s slips accommodate 40- to 100-foot vessels with drafts of seven to eight feet. Each slip is equipped with individual electric metering, potable water, lighting and cable television. The marina also provides 24-hour monitoring and dockside power-pedestal infrastructure.
Located minutes from upscale shopping, fine dining and entertainment venues, Westshore Yacht Club’s amenities include the waterfront Bay Club featuring the Eight O’Six bar, the full-service Spa Nautique, a fitness center, casual dining, and a poolside tiki bar for family dinners or intimate alfresco service.
Close to Tampa International Airport and the area’s major interstates, Westshore Yacht Club offers the sought-after waterfront lifestyle without sacrificing the conveniences of city life, including professional sports, arts, culture and entertainment. The community is close to Raymond James Stadium, upscale shopping at WestShore Plaza and International Plaza, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, the Glazier Children’s Museum, Ybor City, Channelside and the Florida Aquarium.
