ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Folkfest St. Pete 2015 returns Nov. 7 and 8, this year on Baum Ave. in the EDGE district of St. Petersburg. The annual music, art and craft beer festival, benefitting Creative Clay’s programs, will be hosted by Green Bench Brewing Company and be held on Baum Avenue, between 11th and 13th Streets N.
The festival attracts artists from around the region and boasts continuous live music from local and national musicians throughout the duration of the two-day event. Confirmed musical acts to date include Have Gun Will Travel on Saturday and Miami Indie/Folk/Americana performer Keith Johns on Sunday. Also performing are Rebekah Pulley and the Reluctant Prophets, and The Coteries.
In addition to live music and artist vendors selling original folk art, jewelry and home décor items, the festival includes a family area sponsored by Great Explorations Children’s Museum, free parking at Tropicana Field Lot 6, food vendors and craft beer selections – all for a suggested donation of $5.00 per person.
A Folkfest St. Pete kickoff party is scheduled for Friday night, Nov. 6, at Green Bench Brewing Company. A VIP and Sponsor Appreciation party is also scheduled for that evening in the Green Bench tasting room and will feature food from Hawkers Asian Street Fare.
Returning Folkfest St. Pete artist exhibitor Missionary Mary Proctor will lead two “Make Your Own Folk Art Angel” workshops on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Creative Clay.
