[ST. PETERSBURG, FLA, August 12, 2015]— Business and Professional Women of St. Petersburg-Pinellas will again be conducting a series of 5 professional development workshops following up on the success of last year’s award winning Strategies for Success workshops. The 3-hour sessions will be held on the second Saturday of each month from September 12th to January 9th at the downtown campus of St. Petersburg College from 9am to 12PM. Registration is open to the public.
The Strategies for Success workshops are the latest iteration of individual development curriculum developed by BPW. As a signature program of BPW, the Individual Development (ID) program assists women in meeting their personal and professional goals, as well as their goals for community action and change. The ID Program, begun in the late 1960s, was developed to provide BPW officers and future leaders with public speaking and presentation skills. Over time it evolved into a flexible program addressing public speaking, communication skills, interviewing, networking and job performance skills, with the ability to adapt its content to meet the needs of participants.
