TAMPA, FL – August 10, 2015 – The Leadership Tampa Bay Class of 2015 will host an estimated 400 attendees at an event to raise money for the St. Petersburg Warehouse Arts District Association. The event will bring together a diverse group of young professionals to support a great cause while enjoying artisan food, drinks, live music and art demonstrations. Taking place on Friday, September 25 from 7-11pm, the event will be a perfect conclusion to the weeklong St. Petersburg Festival of the Arts, or SPF15.
The proceeds of the event will aid the Warehouse Arts District in their construction of the
ArtsXchange, a 50,000 square foot space that is on the cusp of transforming from a warehouse compound into an artistic haven. The space will provide rent controlled studio space, gallery and exhibit space, a sculpture garden, classrooms with ongoing programming and a micro-brew pub and café. With the association currently in its second phase capital campaign, the Arts on Tap event aims to drive the awareness, enthusiasm, and financial support needed to complete the project.
“We are very excited to have been chosen as the beneficiary of the Leadership Tampa Bay’s Class of 2015’s final project.” Says Tracy Kennard, Executive Director of the Warehouse Arts District Association. “The fundraiser they are creating on September 25th will be a one of a kind event, not only further exposing the arts renaissance happening in St. Pete, but also bridging the gap between two wonderful arts destinations, Tampa and St. Pete. Funds raised at this event will help to provide affordable, sustainable artist studios and educational opportunities for everyone in the community!”
Confirmed food and beverage vendors for Arts on Tap include 4-5 different food trucks, 3
Daughters Brewing, New Amsterdam Vodka, Barefoot Wine, and more. In addition, local artists will be performing art demonstrations including mural painting, glass blowing, and bowl making to the beat of a live jazz band. Guests will spend the evening immersed in the creative community that has helped to solidify St. Petersburg’s status as a city of the arts. Tickets can be purchased online at www.warehouseartsdistrictstpete.org/artsontap. Ticket are $60 and include food and unlimited beverages, including alcohol.
