Gulfport, FL: Several special art events are planned to coincide with the Third Saturday Art Walk on August 15 and all are within easy walking distance of Gulfport’s Waterfront Arts District.
The Gulfport Art Walk event features new artists every first Friday and third Saturday each month and includes several different sculpture and paint mediums, jewelry, photography, folk art, upcycled items, handmade/designed clothing and accessories, body products and more.
For your musical entertainment, live musicians appear at several venues throughout the waterfront district, including Urban Gypsies, Double M Band, Henry Ashwood and Pete n’ Me to name a few.
Domain Home Accessories & Gallery will welcome Jupiter, Florida artist John DeGiorgio during its next “Meet the Artists” event during the third Saturday Art Walk, 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. DeGiorgio creates images that present themselves to him both in actuality and in imagination. He works in graphite, colored pencils, charcoals and other media, primarily on paper. He has also worked in painting and murals. His figure studies range from models to people on the street to friends. Other works include faces and bodies and body parts amid surrealist landscapes. Complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvre will be offered during the event as well as live jazz. (3129 Beach Boulevard South in Gulfport)
