TAMPA, FLA. – Priced at more than $1.7 million, Emerald Homes’ Toscana estate model home has opened at Stonelake Ranch – the private, 685-acre community on Lake Thonontosassa in eastern Hillsborough County.
Considered the most expensive furnished model-home in the Tampa Bay area, the 5,116-square-foot Toscana estate model home is a two-story design set off by a sprawling entrance motor court flanked by two separate garages. After entering the Toscana’s double front doors, guests will find themselves in a broad foyer with 28-foot-high ceiling and a view of the home’s 400-square-foot greatroom with 12-foot ceilings and three sets of french doors opening to a Travertine-marble lanai with pool and an outdoor kitchen.
Adjoining the greatroom is a gourmet island kitchen, a breakfast café and a separate, adjacent 18-by-19-foot family room with two walls of floor-to-ceiling pocketing glass doors that disappear completely to open the room to the lanai and pool area.
The first-floor master bedroom suite – with direct pool access – encompasses an entire wing of the home, and provides access to its own private garage. Two large walk-in closets flank a hallway leading to a master bath with separate dressing areas, an oval garden tub and a 10-foot-long, glass-walled shower.
Upstairs is 21-by-27-foot bonus room with access to an 8-by-35-foot balcony that overlooks a lake and the pool area below. Surrounding the bonus room are four bedroom suites, each with a walk-in closet and private bath.
In addition to the Toscana, Emerald Homes also is building two inventory estate homes at Stonelake Ranch. They are the 4,003-square-foot Milano, priced from $1.15 million including homesite, and the 4,374-square-foot Florencia, priced from $1.3 million including homesite. These homes also feature motor courts separating twin two-car garages, master-suite wings and sprawling lanais with free-form swimming pools, heated spas as well as covered outdoor kitchens and dining areas for alfresco entertaining. The Milano provides three bedroom and 3.5 baths, while the two-story Florencia is a four-bedroom, four-bath design.
Texas-based Emerald Homes builds throughout the country including Alabama, California, Hawaii, Illinois, North and South Carolina, Texas and Washington. In Florida, Emerald homes can be found throughout the state including the Tampa Bay area and Sarasota.
Emerald Homes is a division of D.R. Horton, the nation’s largest home builder, according to Builder magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Home Builders. Horton closed more than 24,000 homes during its 2013 fiscal year.
About Stonelake Ranch
Situated along 880-acre Lake Thonotosassa, Stonelake Ranch was conceived for just 160 executive and estate homes. Ranging in size from 1.5 to nearly 19 acres, homesites were designed to retain the natural character of this former Florida ranch.
More than a third of Stonelake Ranch’s homesites border the lake – Hillsborough County’s largest – providing 10,000 feet of lakefront, sweeping water views as well as an island bird sanctuary.
Residences must contain at least 3,500 square feet of living space if built on the water. Homes off the water can provide no less than 3,000 square feet of living space. Residential pricing runs from about $500,000 to more than $5 million including homesite.
Stonelake Ranch allows home owners to build private residential compounds – not just homes – with main houses, guest cottages, gazebos and much more … all on one homesite. Moreover, they can build horse stables and enjoy the community’s 40-foot-wide riding trails and 120 acres of undisturbed meadows.
The rolling hills in Stonelake Ranch include several of Hillsborough County’s highest points … some rising 80 feet above sea level. This, of course, provides expansive, unobstructed views of surrounding countryside, a rarity in this part of Florida.
To reach Stonelake Ranch from Tampa, take Interstate 4 east and travel past Interstate 75 to the McIntosh Road exit. Turn left (north) on McIntosh, and drive two miles to Thonotosassa Road. Turn left and go about one mile to the community entrance on the right. If coming from I-75, exit at I-4 and drive east to the McIntosh Road exit.
The Stonelake Ranch welcome center is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information about the community call (813) 986-0062 or visit www.stonelakeranch.com.
