PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (July 31, 2015) – It is time to get out your cameras! Gulfside Hospice & Pasco Palliative Care is once again holding a photo contest to find at least 13 photos to feature in Gulfside’s 2016 calendar. Previous calendars have showcased Pasco County’s natural beauty, wildlife and special events.
Each photographer can submit as many pictures as they want, but in the final calendar, there will not be more than two winning entries per person. All photos submitted must be shot in Pasco County and be sizeable for printing at 12 inches wide by 9 inches high. The deadline for submitting photos is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015.
Winning photos will be selected by a team of Gulfside’s staff and volunteers. Those who submit a winning entry will be notified by Sept. 30. In November, after the calendars are printed, each winner will receive five calendars featuring their photo as well as a gift certificate to any Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppe. Calendars will be available for purchase at Gulfside Hospice Thrift Shoppes in December 2015. Winning photos will also be featured throughout 2016 on Gulfside’s Facebook page.
Guidelines for all photos submitted are the following:
• Digital photos should be submitted in original size (not exceed 6MB per photo) to GHPPCphotos@gmail.com. CDs of photos can be mailed to Gulfside’s Corporate Resource Center (2061 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes, FL 34639) to the attention of the Community Relations Department. Include your name, e-mail address, home address and phone number on all submissions. Once photos are received, an e-mail will be sent to you acknowledging their receipt.
• Minimum resolution is 300 DPI. Black and white, vertical, date-stamped, digitally manipulated images or pictures taken with cell phones will not be considered.
• If a person is visible in the picture, a signed photo release is required by the person. Contact the Community Relations Department at Gulfside at 727-845-5707, and a photo release form can be e-mailed, mailed or faxed to you.
• If your picture is selected for the calendar, an additional form will need to be completed allowing for Gulfside use of your photograph free of charge – in the 2016 calendar, media releases, newsletter and website.
If you have any questions about the contest, contact Gulfside’s community relations department at 800-561-4883 or at GHPPCphotos@gmail.com.
