TAMPA BAY, Fla. (July 31, 2015) – The Tampa Bay Technology Forum (TBTF) and Nancy Howe of KnowHowe and publisher of the Tampa Bay Newswire, have developed a groundbreaking partnership to co-promote the largest single pipeline of technology press releases in Tampa Bay.
As part of this new arrangement, TBTF members will be able to submit their press releases to the Tampa Bay Newswire through Howe, who will review and consult on content and garnering media attention at the local, statewide and national level. Both Howe and TBTF will promote releases via email and social media. In addition, Howe will also take the lead with onsite content creation and editing for the TBTF website.
Howe began her journalism career at the St. Petersburg Times (now Tampa Bay Times) while attending the University of South Florida, and later served as Managing Editor of Art & Design News, an international graphic arts magazine. A major milestone in her career came 25 years ago when she joined the Maddux Business Report as Circulation Director, subsequently working her way up the ranks to Associate Publisher and Publisher. During her 14 years as Publisher, Howe created the Maddux NewsWire, a press release service that continues to gain in popularity since she rebranded it as Tampa Bay Newswire in 2010 when the Maddux Business Report closed.
In addition to Tampa Bay Newswire, Howe established and continues to run KnowHowe (www.knowhowe.biz), a full-service writing & publishing company that offers a varied menu of services, including blogs, press releases, editing, web copy and ebooks. It’s clients include not-for-profits, legal and court reporting services, commercial and residential real estate entities, and manufacturing and service industries. KnowHowe also publishes the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce’s publications — ‘Burg Life and St. Petersburg’s Official Visitors Guide.
Over the years, Howe has won numerous awards and recognition for her service to the Tampa Bay business community capped in 2006 by her induction into the Tampa Bay Business Women’s Hall of Fame. She also was named Tampa Bay Business Woman of the Year in 2006 by the Women’s Council of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and in 2009 was named to the list of Tampa Bay’s 100 Most Influential Business Executives by CEO Magazine. She also was tapped by WEDU-TV as honorary chair and spokeswoman for Women’s Health in 2008.
The Tampa Bay Technology Forum, or TBTF, is the unifying voice of Tampa Bay Technology. TBTF is dedicated to growing and promoting Tampa Bay’s technology and business resources.
