Steel is Again Flying
Spring Hill, Florida (July 31, 2015) – Oak Hill Hospital reports that steel is once again flying on its third and fourth floor expansion project of the North Tower.
Oak Hill Hospital recently announced that it is inviting the public to a short ceremony commemorating the raising of the “final beam” for its third/fourth floor expansion project at the North Tower. The ceremony will be held on August 20 at 4:30 pm.
The ceremony includes some quick comments by hospital officials followed by raising of the Final White Beam accompanied by the playing of celebratory music and light refreshments.
The ceremony celebrates the expansion of services to the community and demonstrates the ongoing commitment of HCA to the community it serves. The new maternity program will offer the community a wonderful choice in selecting where to have their babies, future OB/GYN services and pediatric services.
About the Oak Hill Hospital Expansion
The final beam will be raised to the fourth floor of the third and fourth floor expansion. Recently Oak Hill Hospital was pleased to announce that it had been approved for an additional $6.3 million for the adding of a fourth floor to its North Tower. This is in addition to the third floor/obstetrics program that was already under construction. The cost of the obstetrics project is $13.7 million bringing this year’s total investment in the community to $20 million. “Three North is the new maternity unit and Four North will be shelled in for future expansion.”
“In the last 10 years HCA has invested almost $120 million in new facilities and equipment at Oak Hill,” said CEO Mickey Smith. “This investment has been required because of the tremendous inpatients and services at Oak Hill. Our growth is a direct result of our staff’s conveying their personal mission statement in what they do every day for our patients and the community,” he added.
The architectural firm that has been chosen to oversee the project is Gould Turner Group, PC, 4400 Harding Road, Suite 100, Nashville, TN 37205. The general contractor for the project is Brasfield & Gorrie, 2636 Elm Hill Pike, Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37214.
The project is on track for completion in summer 2016.
