When a position opened up on the development team for a software support specialist, they wanted to give one of their own employees a chance to grow his career.

Anthony Sarno, a FreightCenter sales agent since January, 2014, jumped at the chance to learn something new when he heard the position was available.
“In the last year and seven months here, I’ve worked in less-than-truckload, motorcycle and trade show and commercial freight sales,” says Sarno. “When I heard about the position for software support specialist I thought it sounded interesting. I saw it as a chance to not only learn something new, but also move forward in my career,” he explains.
As software support specialist, Sarno will aid in ensuring that FreightCenter’s website and transportation management system (TMS) run smoothly.
Sarno graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. While software support isn’t the path he originally intended for himself, he is confident it will be a good fit for him.
“I went through some intensive training when I started in sales, and now with the experience I already have with our TMS, as well as the one-on-one mentoring I’ll receive, I’m ready to hit the ground running.”
