SARASOTA, FL (July 19, 2015) – The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) will install officers and present chapter awards at its Board Induction and Celebration Luncheon on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at The Francis, 1289 North Palm Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236.
Board installation will be conducted by Roger Pynn, APR, CPRC incoming president of the Florida Public Relations Association and president/CEO at Curley & Pynn. The luncheon will feature the tradition of the passing of the gavel by past presidents of CWC-FPRA.

Roger Pynn is founder, president and CEO of Curley & Pynn. The firm has become one of Florida’s most award-winning agencies and, in fact, was the first agency in the state ever to win the coveted Silver Anvil Award … highest recognition of the Public Relations Society of America.
Roger is accredited by both the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and in 2010, earned FPRA’s designation as a Certified Public Relations Counselor. In 1987, he was named Outstanding Public Relations Professional by FPRA in Orlando. In 2009, he was presented the John W. Dillin Award, the association’s highest honor.
A former president of both organizations’ Central Florida chapters, he was elected the 2013-14 chair of FPRA’s Counselors Network and served three times as a statewide vice president of FPRA. Roger is statewide president-elect of FPRA.
The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) has been serving Florida public relations professionals for 70 years, having been founded in 1938 by Lt. Col. John W. Dillin. FPRA is the oldest public relations organization in the United States. There are 15 professional chapters and many university chapters located throughout Florida, including the Central West Coast Chapter. The Central West Coast Chapter was formed in 1966 and has more than 80 members from Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties.
