Jovanka Somarriba, and Chris Mercer join growing team of architects and designers
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (July 14, 2015) — Wannemacher Jensen Architects announces several recent hires, further relaying the breath of the firm’s capabilities, and its significant growth over recent years.
This growth includes additions of project managers, intern architects, interior designers, and a business manager. The firm now has 17 employees, each with particular specializations.
Architect Jeff McDowell brings unique knowledge operating various digital fabrication devices, including CNC machines, laser-cutters, and 3D printers, helping to expand the firm’s building visualization options.
Architect Richard Malone came from New York and has designed and administered a wide variety of architectural typologies including residential, commercial, civic, healthcare, and educational projects.
Project Manager and Interior Designer Erin McGonegle joined with a range of experience – from commercial to higher education, to municipalities and military projects – in Virginia and Colorado.
Interior Designer Jovanka Somarriba’s experience includes upscale residential interior design throughout Miami. She has a pivotal role in the support and growth of the interior design team.
Intern Architects Kimberly Connell and Melissa Cortes were the top 2014 graduates from the University of Florida School of Architecture, where both served as Graduate Teaching Assistants. They are providing valuable support to the project managers and are on track to serve instrumental roles with the continued growth of the firm.
Business manager Chris Mercer joined with a business administration background. He oversees operations, marketing, human resources, and business development.
