Have an idea you want to share or a committee you’d like to chair? Come one and all to our first Gecko festival brain storming session on Wednesday, July 15! The planning is as fun as the fest itself and the Gulfport Merchant’s Association appreciates your help!
While many of the day’s activities are tradition, we are looking forward to sharing new and exciting thoughts from within the community to keep it fresh! Brain Storming Sessions will take place at Neptune Grill on Wednesday evenings at 5pm, July 15 through August 26. This year’s theme is Mardi Gras and topics of discussion will include street entertainment, musical entertainment, walking parade, new concepts, budget saving tips, volunteering and more.
A portion of proceeds from all three Gecko events (the Crawl, the Ball and the Fest) will once again benefit four local non-profit groups: CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse), the Circle of Friends of the Gulfport Public Library, Daystar Life Center, and the Sonia Plotnick Health Fund, as well as the commission of a public art installation.
Everyone is welcome! Please feel free to share and we hope to see you there!
