Tampa entrepreneur’s Kickstarter campaign for soundproofing technology will strengthen manufacturing and create jobs
Residential Acoustics, creator of AcoustiCurtain, launches fundraising campaign
TAMPA, Fla. (Jul. 8, 2015) – Residential Acoustics, a Tampa Bay Technology Incubator (TBTI) company that specializes in soundproofing curtains, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance research and development initiatives through the patented process and technologies found in the sound blocking AcoustiDoor and AcoustiCurtain.
The Kickstarter campaign, which ends on July 15, has as its goal to raise $40,000 in 28 days or less. Funds raised will help the company strengthen their manufacturing capabilities and conduct research needed to expand their product line, as well as hire additional employees in the Tampa Bay area, all of which will result in increased production levels.
Founded in 2013, Residential Acoustics designs, manufactures and sells patented window and door coverings that diminish external noise transfer by up to 90%. The company offers two patent-pending, custom-designed products called AcoustiCurtain™ and AcoustiDoor™. Their soundproof curtain technology combines sound absorption and reflection principles to minimize the sound that passes into work or living space, while still providing access to natural light.
“We’ve created the only product on the market that allows customers to block noise while still allowing natural light and space in their homes,” said Walker Peek, CEO of Residential Acoustics. “We are the leader in soundproofing curtains with the primary goal of reducing unwanted noise in the homes of our customers.”
