SARASOTA, Fla. – Those who procrastinated about spring cleaning and can’t get motivated to clean out their closets may find inspiration in an upcoming event at the Eileen Fisher store in downtown Sarasota. On Friday, July 17, the socially conscious women’s retailer will host ENCORE at EILEEN, an annual event to benefit the Women’s Resource Center of Sarasota County (WRCSC). Since its inception, Eileen Fisher, Inc. has been dedicated to empowering and supporting women within their communities; helping them find a voice with which they can become leaders and thought-provoking innovators to the betterment of their communities. Partnering with the WRCSC for the second year in a row was a natural fit.
“We had such a terrific response last year, we decided to make this joint endeavor with WRCSC an annual event,” said Sheila Rigoni, store leader at Eileen Fisher in Sarasota. “In repurposing their unwanted garments, shoppers can help the environment by keeping the clothing out of landfills and support the wonderful programs of WRCSC which help make a difference in the lives of local women.”
From 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., shoppers who bring any brand of clean, gently used women’s clothing to the store will receive $25 off their Eileen Fisher purchase of $50 or more. Attendees also enjoy an assortment of complimentary refreshments and light snacks.
All clothing collected that day will be donated to Encore & more Consignment Shop, the WRCSC’s nonprofit resale shop in downtown Sarasota. Proceeds from their sale at Encore and more Consignment Shop directly supports the WRCSC’s programs to foster personal growth and employment success of women in Sarasota County.
Eileen Fisher is located at 1501 Main Street, east of Lemon Avenue. For more information about ENCORE at EILEEN, contact the store at 941-365-2435.
