Student Film “Jinxy Jenkins and Lucky Lou” Wins Best Computer Animated Short for SIGGRAPH 2015
The 2014 Ringling College computer animation senior thesis film Jinxy Jenkins and Lucky Lou has been awarded “Best Computer Animated Short” for SIGGRAPH 2015. This film, created by 2014 graduates Michael Bidinger and Michelle Kwon, was chosen out of films submitted from all over the world, from both student and professional projects.
Motion Design Students Win National ADDY Awards
Ringling College Motion Design students were recently awarded National ADDY Awards. Four projects were awarded National Student ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federations (AAF) annual contest. The AAF competition is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition. Work must be entered at a local level and will then move up to regional and national judging, if selected.
ART Network Wins TELLY Awards
Ringling College’s ART Network, the College’s official campus television network, recently won three Telly Awards for their student produced videos. ART Network, a student-driven network produced in the student’s voice, captures the biggest moments on campus, such as guest speakers, visiting artists and presenters, as well as produces videos for the departments and local clients.
Two of these projects, Sharpshooter and JFCS’s Reflections, were facilitated by ART Network for the Ringling College Collaboratory, which is a partnership between Ringling College and The Patterson Foundation that delivers customer-focused, design-based solutions for businesses and experiential learning opportunities for Ringling College students.
Advertising Design Students Win First Place in 2015 Collegiate Effies
Ringling College Advertising Design students James Armas and Anastasia Belomyltseva won First Place in the 2015 Collegiate Effie Brand Challenge with their campaign Roommate Mashup for Target, along with a $3000 prize. An Honorable Mention was also awarded to Ringling College Advertising Design students Tebello Mosenene and Kaylynn Olmstead for their campaign â€œCracking College,â€ which earned them a $500 prize.

Interior Design Students Win Awards in 2015 Robert Bruce Thompson Annual Student Light Fixture Design Competition
Ringling College interior design students Chelsea Brukardt and Rose Sigona both received awards from the Robert Bruce Thompson Annual Student Light Fixture Design Competition. Brukardt was awarded 1st place in the competition and Sigona won the Special Citation award, securing two of the four awards of the competition for Ringling College students.
