TAMPA, Fla. (May 27, 2015) – WUSF Public Media has named Lisa Peakes as the new, full-time, local host of the widely acclaimed, early-evening news and public affairs radio program All Things Considered.
Radio listeners are already hearing Peakes’ voice on air, as she began her first full day as host earlier this month on WUSF FM 89.7, as well as WUSF live-streaming services and mobile app.
“I’m thrilled to join such a wonderfully dynamic and creative group of people who every day produce fantastic programming for listeners,” Peakes said. “I look forward to meeting more of the extended WUSF family, and look forward to joining everyone listening in the afternoon with reports from All Things Considered.”
All Things Considered is one of the premier programs in public broadcasting, combining international, national and local news segments.
Peakes has a long and distinguished radio background stretching more than 30 years. Since 1984 Lisa has been working on the radio, as everything from a rock, jazz, and classical music DJ, to serving has a host of Morning Edition and All Things Considered for various stations. Over her career, she has reported and worked with some of the best journalists in the radio community.

Peakes attended Emerson College, and graduated from Vermont College at Norwich University and is a long-time volunteer for a variety of social causes.
