Largo, FL (December 20, 2014) – The Pinellas Realtor Organization Affiliate Business Partners (PRO) presented All Children’s Hospital with a $10,000 check this past Friday during their annual holiday business luncheon. The money was raised at PRO’s recent Wine and Wine Festival and Fall Festival.
All Children’s Hospital has been PRO’s charity for several years. “We choose this charity because everyone felt children had the most needs and the hospital is in our community. It’s in our backyard.” said Affiliate Chair John-Paul Mario.
The affiliate members also collected several hundred toys for the kids in hospital. These toys will be given out at the hospital’s Wonderland on December 22nd. Wonderland is where the families shop for free for gifts for their children who are in the hospital. Several members from PRO will be helping parents shop for their kids.
This is the second year that affiliate chair Mario will be making dinner on Christmas day for about 29 families staying at the Ronald McDonald House, a housing facility for family members who have children in All Children’s Hospital. It is for family members who want to be close by their loved one, but maybe don’t want to leave the hospital campus. This is a place they can stay the night and have a meal.
During the holiday luncheon the new board members were also installed for 2015. They include: Chair John-Paul Mario and affiliate directors John Barcelo, Scott Tennant, Dyan Barrie, Brian Chase, Royn Fiel, Denise Drews, Linda S. Goldfard and Samantha McDermott.
